Today has been weird. I woke up this morning to find that my OCD essay had been published by Huffington Post. I’ve spent the day in a fog of confusion about how I should feel about this. Excited! Like a fraud! Excited! What if everyone realizes I suck?! Excited! Hiding in a corner!
I keep a spreadsheet of ideas to write about, and like most of my organizational efforts it alternates between organized within an nth of its life, and completely forgotten about as I wing it. So when I went to look at the spreadsheet this morning and saw, “That’s Not Lemonade” listed, I wasn’t sure I even wanted to know.

For the past half-dozen years I have had a series of narrowly-focused blogs. Cooking, life with our first child, essays to our first child, and most recently the premature birth of our son – plus some micro-blogs for specific essays. Before that I had a couple of general blogs, written in the style of boring journal entries that your parents might read. But a general personal blog that’s also interesting? Can I do that?
