Rowan’s 18 Month Appointment
Holy guacamole, Rowan is 18 months old. Pretty much all words I have to say about that are just cliche parenting lines about “my baby” and “time flies” and whatnot.

Catching Up
Rowan had his 15 month appointment today. It was a little spur of the moment, because I called to set up the appointment and they said there was an opening this afternoon.
Kathie Lee and Hoda are my new BFFs
Everyone once in awhile I get a new influx of Facebook fans and I go hunt down the source because it always means that something has been shared somewhere important. Last week the culprit was my post over on the Today Parenting Team, which was shared by both the Kathie Lee and Hoda Facebook page, and also the Today Show Facebook page. Then it was on the front page of Today.com.
Longest newborn stage ever
At least that’s what if feels like. When I look at pictures and videos of Lorelei at this age, it is very clear that Rowan is much more like his adjusted age than his actual age. His adjusted age is a mere three weeks. But he’s 11.5 weeks old.
Lactation leads to multiplication
Rowan has broken the six pound mark! That means he is over twice his lowest weight, and well on his way to twice his birth weight (I’d say by next week he’ll hit that milestone). It’s crazy to look at this teeny guy and realize he is two times bigger than something.
Seven weeks old!
I really want to keep everyone updated. Really. But most days I don’t even sit down at my computer. When Rowan is asleep I either sleep or clean or prepare bottles or pump. And the rest of the time I’m nursing, or pumping, or going to appointments.
