We are not, nor have we ever been, a family united for one school – having instead flung our allegiances all over the state of North Carolina.
I have been a full-time work-out-of-the-home mother for almost six years, so you would think I have it all under control by now.
Nights are hectic and short on time as we try to fit in dinner, homework, nursing, and bedtime routines while leaving ample tantrum time. Forget things like bathing the children. I’m a good cook, but there is just not enough time for anything other than my basic staples.

Everyone is sort of sneezy and snotty, and Rowan started coughing and wheezing. I stayed home with him yesterday, glad that this seemed to be a regular cold, and not another Bronchiolitis-level illness.

The bottom caption implores you to leave a counter full of dirty dishes, to eschew housework, to be present for your children for they will grow up before your very eyes. We are reminded that no one has ever said they wish they had spent more time doing housework, and less time with the kids.
