The Last Mermaid of the Sea

drums

This weekend, we went to Notasium — an awesome music-based place space near us. The bounce house has drum sounds, the ladder to the slide is a guitar fret board, and a lot of other interactive musical play equipment.

There are two karaoke rooms. Lorelei took me into one and proceeded to make up her own song. She amazes me with her ability to do this. To be honest, I’ve had this song stuck in my head for days. Such depth! Such raw pain! That poor mermaid has so many feelings!

The Last Mermaid of the Sea

I’m here to say
Goodbye to the fish – or hello
nah nah
I love you – wow
uh uh uh
The last mermaid of the sea
I’m wonderducing me
uh uh uh uh uh
I’m the last mermaid of the sea
And the waves are so high now
Sun gods go-oh-ah ah oh ah ah
It’s time to show-ahhh
I’m the last mermaid of the sea
Rising the waves for me
Uh uh uh, uh uh uh
There’s nothing
Nobody rules me
The ruler of the sea
The last mermaid in the deep
The last one of me
Uh uh, uh uh, uh uh
The last mermaid of the sea
Let’s go and have some fun with fish
Just let me find my family
I’m the last mermaid of the sea
